  • It's always a good time to visit Antigua! Peak season is from mid-December until mid-April, making it the perfect warm winter getaway. Low season is from June to November and you can expect fewer crowds and lower rates around this time. You can still count on plenty of sunshine during these months.

  • U.S. citizens are required to present a valid U.S. passport when visiting Antigua, as well as proof of anticipated departure. At the minimum, your passport needs to be valid for another six months. U.S. citizens generally do not need a visa for tourist travel up to 6 months.

  • It takes 90 minutes with the ferry, to get from Antigua to the relatively unpopulated Barbuda. Service is provided from St. John's Harbour and Jolly Harbour. Popular attractions in Barbuda include the 17 Mile Beach and the Frigate Bird Sanctuary.

  • The official language of Antigua is English, and it's spoken by most Antiguans. Sign posts and road signs are also in English, so you'll have no trouble getting around. A part of the population also speaks Spanish and Antiguan Creole.
