  • It's always a good time to visit The Bahamas! Peak season is from mid-December until mid-April, making it the perfect warm winter getaway. Low season is from June to November, you can expect fewer crowds and lower rates around this time. You can still count on plenty of sunshine during these months.

  • The most popular areas to vacation in The Bahamas are Nassau, Paradise Island and Exuma. Nassau is the 'most happening' place and Paradise Island is great for families with kids. Exuma is more quiet, known for its soft white sand beaches and gorgeous turquoise waters.

  • U.S. citizens are required to present a valid U.S. passport when visiting The Bahamas, as well as proof of anticipated departure. At the minimum, your passport needs to be valid for another 6 months. U.S. citizens generally do not need a visa for tourist travel up to 8 months.

  • If you're NOT staying at an all-inclusive resort, expect meals and drinks to be more expensive than in the US. At a regular hotel/resort you can expect to pay as much as 10 USD for a beer and 18 USD for a cocktail. Many visitors who vacation in The Bahamas go all-inclusive, which includes unlimited food and (alcoholic) beverages.
