Peak season

Things can get busy during the months of December to April in Antigua, as this is peak season. There are more activities happening around this time of year and the weather is usually great as well. Peak season is a good time to head to Antigua for a beach vacation, but you’ll need to book early for availability and best prices.

Shoulder season

The shoulder season in May and June is a little more low-travel than peak season, but not as quiet as low season. This is an ‘in between’ time when you can sometimes get deals on flights and accommodation. During the shoulder season, there’s usually less crowds.     The official currency of Antigua is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD). US Dollars are also widely accepted. Keep small bills handy for tips and local purchases, and pay attention to conversion rates, as this can vary.

    The standard voltage for Antigua is 110V and the island uses Type A and B electrical outlets. Travel adapters are not necessary for North American visitors.

  • GETTING AROUND
